I sense a strong influence from the Bird Of Prey tech demonstrator

Yeah I love this design. I just made it heavier and rounded some edges to give it a more retro futuristic look :-)

Yeah, It seems a good use for it, since most of the Bird of Prey's tech went into our new stealth fighters like the F-22.

nice design! I would have made it different, because of wing loads and so on... but this could be an good F-16 replacement

Although most jets don't feature any air intakes directly behind the pilot cockpit for safety reason, this one does look pretty cool. Also, that intake would seriously reduce visibility for the pilot. It also looks like the fuselage borrows from the lifting canards that were prominent in the SR-71, or is this some sort of lifting-body design?

Overall, this looks like a prototype for an aerial reconnaissance craft, mainly because the jet is so short and a majority of the fuselage would be dominated by the engine and fuel. Plus, there are no vertical control surfaces, so it would require computer-controlled risers to maintain stability, and attaching ordinance to the underside of those wings might be detrimental to that stability.

On the plus side, this looks like it could easily pass as a first-generation trans-orbital fighter craft. Looks like it has heat-shielding tiles and hatches for Delta-V bursts.
